Hi DU,
I have to rewrite this post. The first few versions were okay. And then it turned into the kind of spewfest I try to check.

I’ll rewrite it later as I have to go offline to work and it is about something important.
A real complaint I plan to file about these extortionate neoliberal technofascist or Nazi populist forces that put an unqualified and corrupt Nazi like Trump in office.

It is one thing to have no expertise. It is another to find the concept alien and yet string together rot that drives ratings and is an insult to any kind of actual populism. I back a progressive pushback against this reality. Lina Khan, Talarico, Mamdani etc get it.

As do the people on the “far left” in the media (Yasha Levine/Evgenia Kovda, Nandita Bajaj, Christopher Ketcham, Chauncey DeVega, Sam Miller MacDonald, Nathan Robinson/Current Affairs, Adam Becker, Ed Zitron, Troy Farah, Amanda Marcotte, Andrew O’Hehir) and all of you here on DU-EarlG/elad/Skinner and all the posters (I am not listing everyone since I will forget someone and have to come back).

These are not casual effusions. I never had any mental illness or other issues. But I have found our politics as societies nightmarishly inadequate for these horrifying excesses by tech and tech’s hostage taking of doctors, publicly funded scientists, society at large and reality.

My brain doesn’t feel very good wrt work outside my narrow field in the hard sciences. My work is not mechanical and it has been so hard to focus on science and math in the last 15 years.

But nonetheless I think filing complaints anonymously with some explanation but no products is essential. This is a broken economic model and most our media are horrifyingly complicit or behind the times.

This is a real world check I can only send out virtually halting any further exploitation and permission free encroachment.

There is no system of trust in operation at the moment from my side. And I am not a fool. (Nor a bot or insane -no throwing asparagus at me! I’d be screwn..those are the only two I remember ;-/. No wait..And Kudzu and gimme a dollar and breast feeding pitbulls at Olive Garden..I never got the Kudzu one. I saw the “gimme a dollar” one in real time).

I really don’t like mucking with stuff outside my field. I wanted to be one of those people whose contributions to society were less odd. But this was a lot of outrageous Accelerationism and it won’t fly with me on any level.

Anyway, this shorter version on top of the other 35 or 36 should send the message I hope …

Not a bot or crazy. Yeah it’s politics about tech and left and Green and feminist..but it’s not kayfabe. And I won’t be taken by surprise. I use marijuana medically. No system need a bother to blackmail me using marijuana’s grey area status nor pile on other stuff.

And now I won’t hold back re refusal to connect the dots except self servingly.

If I lose my anonymity it will become a worse conflcit.

I have many faults. Cowardice and sleaziness aren’t among them. Further if I sound a bit odd it’s because I have no wish to attract attention. I am not histrionic. The only attention I wanted was via dull papers and this otoh is a bit spectacular. But politeness can be a cancer on society.

I don’t function very well except underground or in dully routine spaces . Just not spooky. Just regular lefty.

I haven’t seen anything lurid. I have seen something more common and less commented on. Parasitic theft of our lives and livelihoods by inept morons who think they are geniuses (e.g. Marc Andreessen). And gate kept and sleazy tech “criticism” (e.g. : Tristan Harris).

I seriously owe Promising Young Woman/The MeToo Movement and the Scum Manifesto (it is satire! I am not a misandrist..I am a humanist..but I do have scant patience with creeps/creep tolerance) for scrubbing away the unpleasant taste of lean-in feminism from the past. That’s a recipe for learned helplessness.

5. I am cleaning up my journal for the new year

It is not that I disagree with or ashamed of it.

But I am trying to serious reevaluate one’s behaviors and actions. I agree with most things I post and I am not ashamed of them.

But who cares what I think? I take action as needed. But editorializing pompously doesn’t fit. Nor does self exposure. Nor do streams of consciousness

It is like one of those guys (it is usually men - huge fan of that gender in its most aggressive form and its mimics) who has nothing to say but keeps on talking.

Steven Pinker comes to mind. Can’t stand that guy.

And while I have silent solidarity/empathy etc. that is unsaid. It is icky and sugary when said and useless. Who can it help?
So that should also go.

I feel a bit sad that all my vicious trashing of various totally random creeps will go in the clean up.

The vicious trashing - that part fits..it fulfils a function as not enough people trash pompous creeps.

It is the pontification that doesn’t. Why would I say stuff that other people say and so much better? It is redundant.

So that was a social service. But because of the pompous pontification and icky sugar, the useful trashing also has to go.


A tragedy really ;-/.
Actually…it is 76 pages. Okay thats too much work. Oh well. At least the tributes to various creeps shall stand.
