One hundred senators is certainly an exclusive club. The average age, as of 2025 (new Congress,) was just shy of 64. The median age wasn't much younger.

In January and Tom Kean vanished for months.
There’s a photo of Mitch and his wife just released.
Said he fell and had pneumonia. He has been moved to a rehab center.

Senator Mitch McConnell’s team releases this photo of the Senator and his wife along with a lengthy statement from the Senator in which he says he won’t be going anywhere.

He said he won’t be able to return to the senate to vote just yet “but rest assured that, in the meantime, I’m not taking a break from the Senate business that matters to you.”

He adds “I still have unfinished business to complete on your behalf, and I have every intention of finishing the job you elected me to do.”

There was the one guy that was out for several months due to mental health. I guess it's difficult to handle the job when you know you're going to hell.

Denzel Washington's character asks Christopher Walken, "Will God forgive us for what we've done?" Without a moments thought, Walken's character says, "No." I think the same applies to these Republicans.

They disappear for a time, then inexplicably show back up, ready to serve their master.
I'm waiting for Lindsey to show up in the middle of the Strait of Hormuz with a bazooka in his hands.
