So, how is this supposed to be resolved?
Mehdi Mohammadi senior advisor to Iran parliament speaker:
Irans approach to this war is multi layered. It is not fighting on a single front or relying on a single tool.
The Lebanon front, the missile program, regional proxies, and negotiations are all being used as part of one integrated strategy and operational framework
If Iran's critical infrastructure is attacked, there will be no critical infrastructure left in occupied Palestine, nor in the complicit Arab family dictatorships in the Persian Gulf. That will mean the end of the global economy as we know it.

(8,202 posts)In short.
Before the Iraq resistance gained steam, the Cheney admin was ready to run the table, so to speak, on Iran.
Pentagon ran a major war game, all scenarios ended with major US losses in trying to keep the region intact.
Plans to take on Iran directly were dropped. And all this was before drone technology.
The fact that Iran holds a critical region for the world hostage has been known for decades. It is a doomsday weapon for Iran, only useable if facing an existential threat.
Unlike Cheney, Trump simply ignored the warnings. Word is Vance is on the outs because he was against the attack, for reasons above.

(26,830 posts)they are forgetting or not aware that Trump doesn't care about the world economy as long as he has enough money for himself or can continue to steal from the US.
A world market decline would hurt some of Trump's investments, but doesn't he already have millions stashed away somewhere? If the ordinary citizen is hurting financially, well, he's already told us he doesn't think about that.

(2,431 posts)For the first time in my life, I just paid $100 for 25 gallons of gasoline. And that isn't a drop in the bucket for the high costs of everything else. This war made no sense.

(11,189 posts)Remember how Iran held the hostages until Carter was out of office? They are going to do the same thing to Krasnov. We must get rid of him if we want to break their hold on the economy. I wish they would just come out and say it so it will be clear to everyone what must be done. The stooge in the Whote House must leave.

Probably the worst businessman as well. How many billions have the world's economies lost because of him?
He bankrupted four casinos, yet he got elected twice.
