About sexting or shirtless behavior compared to the fucking damage that concerned fucking assclown from Maine has wrought.

We don’t get to right the ship unless we have the majority.

Get over your pony loss.

What happened to "vote blue no matter who" ? This guy is a vast improvement over Susan fucking Collins.

As long as he doesn't end up being a turncoat like Lieberman, Manchin, Sinema and that other guy, I say we'll be better I ff that with Collins getting yet another term

But now Republicans are attacking Platner for exhibiting all the toxic masculinity sexual traits they admire in their own leaders, like Paxton and Trump.

horrendous behavior, terrible judgment, lies, extremely insulting views and attitudes towards women, bigoted and offensive comments and overall creepiness and they voted for that fraud anyway and now some want to tell me that I need to do the same?

No effin way.

It is what it is. I'm not happy with whoever it was who pushed this guy into running for a Senate seat as a Democrat. He is probably going to be the nominee but I am certainly not going to pretend or agree that who and what he is is ok because it's not.

This isn't a pony. This isn't a purity test. This is an awful candidate who never should have been pushed in the first place.

Yeah, we desperately need that Senate seat, but Platner is covered with red flags. Aside from his adolescent sexting fetish, he also comes across a little "Fettermanish".

We can do so much better than this......but we need a majority, so I guess we have to fall into line and hope he wins.

so you have to choose the bus that gets you closest to your desired destination.

You'll have to walk a few blocks to get where you want if Platner wins the primary and you vote for him

Collins has taken your bus fare and bought herself an ice cream, and you're still sitting at the bus stop the next morning.

No candidate is going to appeal in every way to every member of a particular political party. With Trump and MAGA, the gloves need to come off and it has become time to fight fire with fire.

Democrats are inclined to have more principles than republicans. Dems don't tend to support anyone just because they have a "D" behind their name. Fortunately, I don't live in Maine, so I am not in a position to choose. If I was, I would vote for the Democrat, but not happily.

look around......THIS is what we get. Vote smart, people. We get hung up on one issue or another and we end up where we are now. In 2024, it was Gaza. Well, what's happening in Gaza now?

In my mind, it's not necessarily principles. It's looking for perfection. And I'd bet the farm you'll never, ever find it.

Mirrors what I would have commented. I was turned off by Platner from the git. He bad-mouthed Democrats in announcing his campaign. He can't even play nice with the party from which he wants support then he turns out to be this polarizing. Go figure. Makes me glad I'm not a Maine voter.

No one is even talking about David Costello, his Democratic opponent and if he's a viable alternative.

I don't live in ME and Mills dropped out. He's not perfect. NONE of us are. But you have to vote and support intelligently. If you don't. If you stay home and pout (repeat of 2024). If you whine and boohoo about "not perfect", THIS is what we get. Look around. Do you want more of this?! Huh?! Do you?! Then we need to get our collective heads out of our asses and use them for what they're intended. Vote and support smart, people.

Every election cycle it's the same damn thing. Will we ever learn? We've meet the enemy and much of the time, he is us.

"With Mills out of Senate race, Democrat David Costello hopes voters give him a look.

David Costello, 65, spent decades working in local, state and federal government. He knows he’s a long shot against oyster farmer Graham Platner, who has dominated headlines and the polls for months. But in a Thursday statement, Costello reiterated his commitment to the campaign.

“I have no intention of dropping out,” he said. “I look forward to continuing to offer Mainers a well-rounded and experienced option in the race to replace Senator Collins in the U.S. Senate.”

That experience includes 25 years of work in senior government positions in Maine, Maryland and Washington D.C.

No more of this because it's not true:

"Nothing pisses me off more than getting a fundraising text from Democrats talking about how they're fighting fascism. Because it's such B.S. We aren't idiots. Everyone knows most of them aren't doing jack right now to fight back "
