John Lennon played the role of Musketeer Gripweed in Richard Lester's How I Won the War. The 1967 flick would be Lennon's only acting in a non-musical movie. Although the movie was not a success, it is still historic, as every Beatles fan knows. The lawn of the villa that John stayed in reminded him of a place he had visited as a kid, and that resulted in his writing Strawberry Fields Forever. Having listened to several versions of the song as I wrote the below stuff, the title for my essay clicked in my mind.
We know that the president met on February 11th with Netanyahu to discuss the Israeli leader's plans for a joint military attack on Iran. They met in the Situation Room in the West Wing of the White House. This alone is curious to anyone familiar with the history and traditions of the Situation Room. Netanyahu outlined a series of four steps, with several potential outcomes all positive in his opinion for such an attack. Although the president did not actually commit to the attack, he has been quoted as saying, Sounds good.
Three administration officials who participated in the meeting were opposed to a military attack on Iran, which would be the second time our country followed Israel's lead while the U.S. was in negotiations with Iran. They included CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who recognized that Netanyahu's potential outcomes did not match up with his agency's understanding that Iran would retaliate by bombing Israel and American bases in the Middle East and create an economic/energy crisis by closing the Strait of Hormuz. It included secretary of state Marco Rubio, who understood it would be unpopular globally, and potentially isolate our country from our friends. And vice president J.D. Vance did not couch his opposition to the plan, being the most vocal in noting that one can bomb the heck out of a country, win every battle, but still lose the war. He pointed out the obvious examples of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Yet the president was unconcerned that if his three puppets were correct that there was absolutely no way that steps 3 and 4 of Netanyahu's proposal for the war were reality-based. They remembered how divided our country was after the Supreme Court selected Bush as their favorite winner of the 2000 election. However, when Saudi Arabia attacked us on 9/11, it brought the country together. The majority favored bombing Tora Bora in an attempt to kill the man we were told that day was the mastermind. Air traffic was shut down, with only the bin Laden family allowed to leave the USA.
Now, the meat & potatoes, or things we know. The convicted sex offender/felon poses the most dangerous threat to the United States. Netanyahu poses the greatest threat to Israel. The wold's economy is being damaged by the pair. Our international relationships are impaired. And Melania is a repulsive liar. She makes Michael Wolff look squeaky clean, and herself an utter failure of the Squeaky Fromme-type. I'm not saying Jeffrey Epstein is still peddling her today. He is dead. Yes, it took Nick Tartaglione two tries, but that was in very different circumstances than when the journalist beating, mafia enforcer cop murdered the four drug dealers.
Epstein is dead. That doesn't mean that Epstein isn't screwing the president, of course. No doubt, if by any chance anyone has actually read this far, they are thinking of the famous 1854 oration, which ended with him saying the dead are not powerless. Jeffrey Epstein, who qualifies as dead, continues to haunt the felon.
For these and other reasons, I hope that we are all working towards crushing the republican party in devastating fashion in the mid-terms. Our party has everything we need to accomplish this. It is up to us, and depends upon our investments in campaigning between now and November.

Tell Trump to start acting like Bibis daddy, ease all economic sanctions on Iran and we open Hormuz no tolls attached. Any time Israel acts up (attacks outside its borders), we shut down the Strait again and youre right back in the dumpster, because if theres one thing youve learned by now you know we can.
Youll be a hero Donald
peace in the Middle East
think about it.
Trump might just play along. He can turn on Bibi and say we did as you asked and you were wrong. Bye.
ETTD Bibi.

(79,097 posts)that the felon can do that without risking that Netanyahu would release Israeli intelligence files from Epstein? I, of course, hope they completely destroy themselves.

I dunno. I can't see trump doing the smart thing here. He fears epstein a thousand times more than anything else. And he is backed into a corner.
Let's pray for that blood clot that I know is just waiting to do its job.
I think that is the only way we get out of this cleanly.

(41,142 posts)Ive kind of given up on the Epstein angle with Bibi and Putin. He has a natural affinity for both. That doesnt mean they dont have stuff on him but it would have to exceed by a wide margin what everyone already knows about Trump with an accompanying video.

Also, as the pendulum swings too far in one direction, it swings back in opposite direction just as hard.
Ive been wrong before. But it sure seems that way to me.
