I don't want someone on a learning curve replacing concernedsusan right now. I would prefer he shadow Mills after she gets in and run for the seat when she's done with her one term. We need people with experience in governing at this moment just like we needed Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi last time we voted -45 out.
We still haven't recovered from the last time this fucker was in office so I would rather not have a novice with issues going into the Senate right now. Platner has never held office and is now going for the Senate seat at a crucial point in our country, no thanks.

(102,929 posts)DO you live here in Maine?
I do and from what I've seen, I'll take a pass on this guy.
ALL of concernedsusan's past contenders were all first timers and THEY ALL LOST! We have a real chance at a real serious person with experience and all I hear from out of staters is that Mills will lose because Platner.
All of you can go be concerned with susan then.

(4,652 posts)I'm just sad that the Democratic vote seems perpetually split between progressives and standard corporate democrats. This is not a winning strategy to the benefit of Republicans... especially someone like Susan Collins.
It will be resolved by the primary of course, but is Mills really a great contrast to Collins?
