On a positive note from CBS News Pittsburgh...this will uplift you.

Despite all of the snow and all of the cold, and not to mention mail backups, one postal worker found a lost wallet and traveled more than 50 miles to get it back to its owner. Barry Pintar tells the story On A Positive Note.

that is the kinda stuff the media masters want to deluge us with, feel good stuff about the inherent goodness of the American people. Positive, uplifting stuff.

Used to be this kinda thing wrapped up the local news, watch for more and more on national news, along with the infomercials that pass for consumer news coverage

Let me add, really nice thing that merits a mention, and there still are many good people.

just bought a radio station, with the expressed purpose of making sure these kind of feel good stories get prominent coverage, instead of stories that put America in a bad light, i.e true reporting. His is an area that has just had FEMA deny critically needed disaster assistance, basically because they live in a Blue State -- which is kinda funny as it is a Red voting region.

Whether it is Sinclair or Clear Channel buying up local TV and radio stations, or CNN getting to purge its real journalists, or this crackpot here in Vermont, the goal is the same. Happy talk us to death, and make an increasingly ignorant population even less informed.

Progressive ever swoops in and buys 13 or 14 radio stations all at once. Maybe they are using their money differently, though this would be one effective tool for us.

...... including our mailman. Years ago, when we were struggling, someone helped us. When we tried to find a way to repay them all, he/she said was these simple words, "PAY IT FORWARD when you can." And we do every chance we can. It always makes our day.

Just a side note, with us, it is from our hands to theirs. Oftentimes, in an envelope with this little note. "PAY IT FORWARD when you can."
