(4,286 posts)that is the kinda stuff the media masters want to deluge us with, feel good stuff about the inherent goodness of the American people. Positive, uplifting stuff.
Used to be this kinda thing wrapped up the local news, watch for more and more on national news, along with the infomercials that pass for consumer news coverage
Let me add, really nice thing that merits a mention, and there still are many good people.

(4,286 posts)just bought a radio station, with the expressed purpose of making sure these kind of feel good stories get prominent coverage, instead of stories that put America in a bad light, i.e true reporting. His is an area that has just had FEMA deny critically needed disaster assistance, basically because they live in a Blue State -- which is kinda funny as it is a Red voting region.
Whether it is Sinclair or Clear Channel buying up local TV and radio stations, or CNN getting to purge its real journalists, or this crackpot here in Vermont, the goal is the same. Happy talk us to death, and make an increasingly ignorant population even less informed.

Just a side note, with us, it is from our hands to theirs. Oftentimes, in an envelope with this little note. "PAY IT FORWARD when you can."
