We did "the calendar" routine every morning and on March 15th I taught them a little bit of history (never hurts to start young, I did Dec 7th and WW2 as well). They thought I said EYES of March and explained what it meant.

In reality, Caesar was the man of the people and Brutus and Cassius were only interested in restoring their own power and the power of the Senate... it was an oligarchy...

And never forget...

The Ides of March gave us Augustus

The French Revolution gave us Napoleon

The Russian Revolution gave us Stalin.
