Law enforcement investigating the disappearance of American morning show host Savannah Guthrie's mother sealed off a road near Nancy Guthrie's home in Arizona late on Friday night.
A parade of sheriff's and FBI vehicles, including forensics vehicles, passed through the roadblock that was set up about 3.2 kilometres from the house.
The two agencies also tagged and towed a Range Rover SUV from a Culver's restaurant parking lot. The restaurant is just over 3km from Nancy Guthrie's home.
The activity took place at the same time the sheriff's office closed a road just north of the Guthrie home.

Has this been reported? Seems strange it would turn up in Oz news; article is 5 hrs old.

(4,908 posts)It was going on largely after 10PM Eastern. By today, it was kind of clear that it turned up nothing much. (They were acting off of a tip.)
They've now moved on to the presence of unidentified (i.e. not from family members or anyone known to visit there) DNA found in the woman's house. But there could be an issue with that, depending on when it was found, because for some unknown reason, the sheriff released the crime scene (her house/ property) just a day or so after she was reported missing.
The investigation appears to be a complete cluster-f*ck. I feel sorry for the family; even if they recover the body, they'll likely always wonder if she would have been found alive, had it proceeded differently.
