Well our new health insurance costs have been unveiled under the Trump/Republican BBB.

Wifey and I are on Social Security with an advantage plan from Florida Blue, ( Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida). My wife has COPD and needs to use Trelegy. It is the only inhaler that works. She has used others over the years but now only Trelegy
will work. Last year with Florida Blue Advantage our deductible was around $500/yr for he Trelegy. Now it is over $2100/year. My meds are tier 1 and were $0 last year, now I have one that is $120/yr. This Rx stuff is bad enough but all of our deductibles for hospital stays, specialist visits and coverage for all other incidentals have gone through the roof. We are going to have to find a way to eat the cost. I am 72 and I do work part time. We need to rise up and put the billionaires heads on pikes lining our highways.

The for profit healthcare system is designed to encourage people not to use their coverage for fear of going bankrupt. Remember, the first rule of operating a business is making a profit. That is the prime directive. It is not your health they are concerned about. It is the health of their profits and their company.

I am so proud of the citizens of Minneapolis and all the others that have risen up against this dictatorship and his cronies. They have shown us all how to deal with tyrants. There are more of us than them, they can't kill us all. I hope the next No Kings Day next month has an even greater turnout than the previous ones. I will be there.

- Many expensive meds have manufacture coupons you can use. They often reduce a person's copays dramatically. The catch is that people on government insurance (this includes medicare) can NOT utilize them. It drives me crazy because many of the these meds are most needed by people on Medicare.

-You can not use Good RX etc type coupons with any insurance it is either or NEVER both.

-The newest generations Inhalers and DOACs (blood thinners) are predominantly used by people with more complex medical issues and are on these plans. Because some of these are so expensive people end up relying on less safe and effective methods to treat their issues. Some examples are people who really need medications like Advair end up using albuterol only. This is not optimal because it is less safe and effective. Those who should be on Eliquis or Xarelto end up staying on warfarin because warfarin is much less expensive.

-Getting expensive medications from Canada is an issue because of tariffs and because it is more complicated process and many people lack the skills, ability and assistance to be able to.

All together the system is very rigged against the poor, marginalized, and less literate. Those with money and know how, do better. It is devastating to communities.

Sorry for preaching but it is terrible, wrong and infuriating.
