The worst part of living in historical times...

... for me, anyway, is knowing I won't get to see what history will actually make of these times.

History should only occur when one is young, so that fifty years later, you can read the books and say "I knew it all along."

Back in 1968. Ghads. What a horric year that was!

I was 10 when JFK wa assassinated; so I didn't really get the loss on a larger scale.

By the time I was 14 in 1967, I'd already started to pay attention to socio-political issues so the losses, and election of Nixon were just devastating!

Just too young to have all the cool fun with the hippies. But we did okay in the early '70s in that respect.

I had a friend who was very creative at coming up with exotic tortures and ways to punish people. Just thought exercises, of course.
