I lived in Mpls for decades and Univ of Minn is where I received my undergraduate degree.
So hard to believe what is happened in my beloved city.

(473 posts)Trump has been ordering more foreign workers for his businesses. He is offering lower wages. He's also lowering the minimum wage to be paid to foreign agricultural and meat processing workers.

(13,742 posts)Stuff like this can have an irrational effect. It's the same as Trump calling places "shitholes." The many hard-working, honest people in those cities (mostly Democrats, btw) don't need this hand-wringing. It's doing nothing but helping Trump.
