If they show a person is different than we thought

that will and should change their reputation. I would imagine the emails are unlikely to prove that many were involved in abusing children, backing the ring or providing coverup. Only the very clueless would write emails like that.

Like Summers' case, you may see sleaziness reading their own emails. Their own comments should impact how you see them. It is entirely fair that Harvard and other organizations drop Summers as the man they show is worse than his already problematic image.

Oddly, it is possible that Epstein was always on his best behavior around Clinton. This would make sense as before 2017, Clinton was his biggest name to drop and being seen as connected to powerful people was one root of Epstein's power. Since I joined DU in 2005, I have rarely defended Bill Clinton.

It will be important to look carefully at each person and avoid guilt by association if the connection does not involve participating or protecting Epstein and Maxwell.
