I hope everyone here clearly understands...

...Donald Trump is never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going to get the Nobel Peace Prize.

Never.

Not in a million years.

The mere concept of the thought is so incredibly laughable beyond all words.

He is the absolute antithesis of what the people behind the prize have in mind as it relates to the type of person they have in mind for the award.

They also know that people who get the prize never lobby for it. That would inherently cheapen its value.

The only reason that he brings it up is that so when he is inevitably denied the prize--because there has been absolutely nothing that he has done to deserve it--it gives him something to whine and complain about.

That's the only reason his supporters talk about it. They know full well he's never going to get it.

It's eternal victimhood with this guy. That's all it is. That's the only thing it's about.

Anyways, I'm hoping it will be Chef Jose Andres and World Central Kitchen who receive the award this year. But if not, it will go to some other person or organization who likewise deserve it.

And it will never go to Donald Trump.

offers its opinion every year as to who should/will get the prize. This year they list the following organizations and individuals as likely and worthy winners (Trump, of course, isn't among them), along with the reasons for their choices:

Sudan's Emergency Response Rooms
Sheikh Mohammed, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar
The OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights & The Carter Centre
The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom
The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court

Based on the whole airline thing, he seems to be something of a shameless opportunist himself.

The rest would be worthy recipients, though, IMHO.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, has been instrumental in mediating the Hamas-Israeli ceasefire reached in January 2025. Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Sheikh Mohammed would emphasize the crucial role regional actors can play in peace efforts.

Beyond the Hamas-Israeli ceasefire, Sheikh Mohammed has been at the forefront of Qatar's mediation efforts in Afghanistan and Ukraine. Under his leadership, Qatar facilitated critical US-Taliban talks, which represented a notable role in efforts to address the conflict in Afghanistan. Over the years, Qatar has built up a significant mediation capacity, and actively contributing to peace mediation efforts in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen and Ukraine. Since 2003, Qatar’s annual Doha Forum has served as a vital platform for promoting dialogue and diplomacy in the region.

While his contributions are notable, it is important to acknowledge that awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Sheikh Mohammed would not be without controversy, given the complex geopolitical dynamics and criticisms surrounding Qatar's foreign and domestic policies. Nonetheless, recognizing his contributions would underscore the importance of empowering regional actors in the pursuit of global peace, and send a signal that efforts by regional powers to engage seriously in peace mediation efforts are valued by the international community.

It's notable that they'd consider this guy to be a reasonable choice in light of his efforts to mediate the Hamas/Israel conflict, Ukraine, and the US/Talliban talks because of the influence of the Doha Forum's influence in the region - a factor of some important. Trump wants credit for a Hamas/Israel peace deal, if there ever is one, but it sounds like this dude would deserve it a lot more.

Of media going all in on Trump and the peace agreement as the greatest achievement in the world and knowing he had not one fucking thing to do with it. Natty Ya Hoo is looking for a way out and give trump props for money to rebuild the beach front resort. They will make this a celebration and media dump the likes of which will make the Kirk shit show look like a blimp in the media.
Fuck them all,
Watched a drone video post here that was flying over Gaze showing the complete destruction of everything . Totally flattened. Yet media saying Gazan's can now go home. Bull shit. Go home to what? There are no homes.
The only reason Kushner is going over is to start purchasing beach front acreage. And get more cash for him and Princess Trump.
Watch and see how Palestinians are welcomed home? They will not be allowed. Only Hamas and Natty and Trump come out ahead here.
What a damn shit show and the stupid will eat it up.

two-state solution? Doesn't that contribute to a conflict and violence rather than avoid conflict? How can anyone involved in the killing of tens of thousands ever receive a peace award?

Also...the agreement so far is for hostages and cease fire...not for all the very complex actions that will go into lasting peace. No Nobel awards for cease fires.

although he's even less likely to win the prize in economics.

I can see someone in his fan club making a mockup for him to present to him when he's really, really demented. and won't remember that he never attended the ceremony to pick it up.

Or maybe they'll just hire someone to Photoshop the ceremony with his bulk accepting the prize, Greta Thunberg cropped out.

However, the Nobel committee will never award him a damned thing. Alfred Nobel didn't bother to set one up for arrogant ignoramuses who levy war against their own countries.
