Stories where dogs die. I can’t even watch “All Creatures Great and Small” though it is a great drama series.

While I have been around people who were traumatized as children--having been bitten or some similar incident and have tried to work with them if they were interested in losing their phobia, those who aggressively show disdain for animals sans any reason whatsoever, are on my "AVOID" list.

There is a lot of ridicule of our current generation and the cohorts of animal lovers who treat their pets as part of the family or their children, but damn if I wouldn't like to have many, many more of them (and far less of the obnoxious anti-animal people). The former are showing both their capacity for empathy and caring. The latter, just the opposite.

We're supposed to be so miserable in our sad little homes with only cats to keep us company. Cats are the best people there are, but if you hate animals you probably don't care much about people either. My last cat passed away in February but following some necessary work on my house I will be going to the shelter to find another new friend or two to love and live with happily, not caring what mean people think.

The people are a lot nicer. I see them out walking their dogs when I go out and chat with them. Trump doesn’t care about humans The animal he hates the most, I believe, is Homosapien. I really think there’s something missing in him, and he doesn’t know how to care, and all his sycophants are trying emulate him. These uncaring people who think empathy is a weakness, are just ruining the United States and our reputation

There are those in this world who look for "symmetry" when vile things happen. I certainly do not hope she encounters someone with this obsessive mindset, but most of us would have considered that possibility before bragging of such a horrific act."

and is not an absolute.

There are some who are uncomfortable around dogs because of having been traumatized by dogs, in their youth. There are some who are uncomfortable around certain breeds.

In psychology, various noteworthy traits don't exist in a vacuum.

So are bears and mountain lions.

Feral pigs?

I stay clear of those.

Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. No question, now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
