In the early church (before Constantine solidified the corruption of it for political purposes) believers practiced radical economic sharing, selling possessions and distributing the proceeds to "all, as any had need" (Acts 2:44–45). This model reflects the command to use resources for the benefit of the community rather than hoarding them.
