Woody Allen said Jeffrey Epstein couldnt have been nicer when he was invited to a series of dinners at the home of the paedophile financier.
The director said he had not met Epstein before he was among the guests at a dinner in December 2010, which also included the Duke of York.
Allen, 89, told The Sunday Times he and his wife Soon-Yi Previn had been invited by a publicist to the dinner with one of those British royals and other guests.
Epstein had just finished a prison term for soliciting an underage girl for prostitution ...

(31,393 posts)It addressed Woody and Epstein having a common interest. It was also sexist and racist. I am sure some older Du members heard it back in the day.

(10,943 posts)... is probably telling the truth. But, his timing is way off... surely he knows when to give someone a compliment. At the height of the "Epstein Files" story, he shares this? Something wrong with him. It relays a message, all right... he's not stupid. he must know how it sounds. So, my conclusion is that he is reacting to the film fans who have dissed him. He's "rubbing their noses in it." Nobody wants to hear about Hitler's good taste in art, or that Lizzie Borden was a great doggie mom.
