60,000 Gazans have been killed. 18,500 were children. These are their names.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/interactive/2025/israel-gaza-war-children-death-toll/

Some were killed in their beds. Others while playing. Many were buried before they learned to walk. Gaza is the most dangerous place in the world to be a child, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Palestinian children have been killed at a rate of more than one child per hour during the war. “Consider that for a moment. A whole classroom of children killed, every day for nearly two years,” UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell told the U.N. Security Council this month.

When asked about the death toll among children, the Israel Defense Forces said it “does not target children or other uninvolved civilians. The IDF takes extensive precautionary measures to prevent harm to civilians. The IDF operates in compliance with international law.”

Israel says its aim is to eliminate Hamas after the militant group attacked the country on Oct. 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 hostages. Thirty-eight children were killed and about three dozen were taken hostage. Hamas continues to hold about 22 hostages and the bodies of 27 others.

It's a long scroll. A few photos and details of lives and deaths. And then it says, "So far, you read the names of 100 children who have been killed in the war."

Complete eradication of all Palestinians in Gaza is Israel's intent. They don't need to build death camps like the Nazi's did in WW2, Gaza is just one big death camp.

The IDF takes extensive precautionary measures to prevent harm to civilians. The IDF operates in compliance with international law."

They've killed unarmed people, including children, who were waving white flags of surrender, which is a war crime. Their snipers have openly murdered children. They've reduced schools, hospitals, transportation and health infrastructure, and most of Gaza itself to rubble. The IDF is an army of war criminals and terrorists who've been livestreaming their atrocities for over a year and a half--the media should stop quoting them as if they're a reliable source for anything.

It is truly maddening how they twist themselves into knots with all the excusing and denial of the genocide that's happening before the world's eyes.

The incessant focus on who has the "right" or "legal" definition of genocide...right, keep quibbling as human beings are starving

Presumably because Bibi and the IDF haven’t formally declared in writing their explicit intent to commit the precise dictionary definition of genocide.

Not to mention all the other tribes and neighbors who opposed the invasion.

Maybe not quite this bad but it was sure to be very bad given all the years of friction and aggressive confrontation in the region. What the Hell did Hamas think would happen when they attacked a nuclear power that had the backing of one of the world's largest military forces?

Not long after the Hamas attack some of us wondered if an international peacekeeping force might be the only way to stop the carnage and reach a settlement. The Smotrich gang of land grabbers would have certainly objected. I now wish something like that would have been tried anyway. Maybe it still could be. ???
