A sheriff's deputy arrived within minutes and took the man into custody, and people in the store also helped apprehend the suspect and treat victims.

In the clip, one of the citizens can be seen holding a gun in his hands aimed squarely at the suspect - yet the man still did not comply immediately.

'Get on the f***ing ground!' the men continued to yell as the man attempted to move between cars before finally placing the knife on the ground.

Sheriff Michael Shea said in the aftermath: 'Eleven is 11 too many, but thank God it wasn´t more. The victims were not predetermined.'
