In my opinion, it was about all the files she had in her possession in regards to the Epstein conviction. Did she take them with her when she left? If not, the Bondi DOJ will be looking to get possession of them.
Bondi and the FBI had possession of about 200 pages on Epstein, according to reports. However, there were thousands of pages at the SDNY, where Comey was their star prosecutor.
In my opinion, Trump has ordered Bondi to get possession of all the files on Epstein and they needed Comey out of the way, in order to do that. So they fired her.
Because you cannot destroy the files if you do not have possession of them. Bondi and Kash Patel realized they did not have possession of all those files. They were at the FBI offices in NYC.
My guess is that we should follow the trail to the SDNY as this story progresses.

Trump didn't have his act down pat in the first term...Then Covid, then impeachments and on and on.
This time around, those people that he kept around for a few years wouldn't last a few days.

Is that not correct?

(29,067 posts)4 victims filed charges for sex trafficking. The prosecutor was Alexander Acosta, who later became Krasnov's secretary of labor.
Acosta negotiated a plea deal with Epstein, without consulting with his 4 clients. The plea deal was Epstein pleaded guilty to solicitation instead of sex trafficking. One of his victims filed an appeal that she was never consulted, a 3 judge panel voted 2-1 that the deal could go through, which was a travesty.
Epstein was sentenced to 13 months in prison and he was released from prison during the day and had to pay 40 of his victims money.
That's just the Florida Epstein prosecution and that was an abomination.

(29,067 posts)but hopefully they still exist now. Maurine Comey is way too ethical for Magats.
Maurine Comey was the lead prosecutor and she definitely knows what Epstein and his enablers did, she was ready to take Epstein to trial before he died unexpectantly.
Maybe they will release the autopsy of Epstein while they're at it, or was that a hoax too?

(126,319 posts)Jim Comey and/or Rosie O'Donnell, arranged for him to be smuggled out of his jail cell during that 3-minute video gap, and leave in his place the body of some homeless guy who looked like him. Epstein, having paid off these Deep State members with some of his laundered money, is now living on one of his islands where he continues his former life of debauchery and pedophilia with Prince Andrew and Bill Cosby. Isn't that obvious?
