If I lived in some red state and got a postcard from someone I don't know in far off Connecticut I probably wouldn't bother reading it. It would go in the daily stack of junk mail that I toss every day.

Especially in close races. Handwritten postcards seem to be more effective than those glossy pieces of political mail that we all just toss in the trash or recycle bin. Here's another study: https://cdce.umd.edu/feature/power-postcard-rocking-vote-0

I've been to postcard writing parties and my husband and I did several lots in the 2024 election.

It's a touch from another American asking us to help.
