Bannon predicts republicans will "lose 40 seats in '26"

“You’re going to lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement. If we lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement right now, we ain’t gonna … we’re gonna lose 40 seats in ’26,” he said on his podcast yesterday.

“We’re gonna lose the president,” he added.

Bannon’s WarRoom @Bannons_WarRoom
BANNON: The Epstein list is just the tip of the iceberg here; the real question is about who really governs us.

If this cover-up continues, 10% of the MAGA base will walk away.

Lose them now, and we lose 40 seats in 2026 and the presidency in 2028.

There are just too many deep red states this cycle. I think it's more likely they lose a couple of seats and keep the chamber...or even lose three and Vance has the tie breaker.

Maybe a couple of purple state GOP Senators will retire before 2026.

North Carolina and Maine will arguably be lean Democrat as is and I could see several other states potentially flipping if it is a wave election like it looks like it's shaping up to be. If Ernst retires, that's probably moves Iowa next in line to be flipped.

In 2018 Democrats gained 41 seats in the House, which was a quality turnaround and we took the Chamber. (Not to mention we gained seven Democratic Governorships)

Even there we lost 2 seats in the Senate.

Trump will find some health reason to resign and spend more time with his family. He will lose interest in the whole project if he doesn’t have complete control, fingers crossed.

because his ego is too big for him to walk away from it. It would be huge hit for Trump's pride for him to resign before his term finishes. We are stuck with this POS bearing some miracle where congress as whole agrees to impeach and remove him which the odds of that happening are very low.

On average, in the midterms the presidents party loses 27 seats in the House and 4 seats in the Senate. So while he might be overestimating the loses it's not by much.

Also, take away for Democrats. The actual MAGA numbers can't possibly be that huge. So how is it possible that such a small percentage can control the direction of an election? Yes, we know hijinks are being played out. But the point is, they have a group that will support even a pedophile to achieve their main goals, which as far as I can tell, is to own the Liberals.

If they lose 10% of the base, some seats will be won by 10% instead of 20%.
In purple districts, it could be a bloodbath, but not sure how 10% of 40% results in 40 seats being lost.
Sound like a number that came put of another of his benders.

Trump is on it, they know it. But because they're treating the White House like it's a play house, they're like "LA LA LA LA LA I AM NOT LISTENING LA LA LA LA LA". Well, deal with it, assholes! It's time to flush MAGA down the sewer where it belongs!

Although, is having an election such a real thing in these days? I remain convinced the last was stolen and trump IS an illegitimate president. No conspiracy theory, just common sense and counting the number and skill/experience level of individuals involved with the tech which could do such a thing. The myriad reports coming in from over the country just goose the feeling. Not that it can help us now... the Founders never considered an election where it could be stolen completely behind the people's backs.

I think they'll do the same thing again in 26 and in 28. How far they get in 26 determines 28 attempts. I hate to say a lot of our hope for preserving democracy in 26 is dependent upon a feud between two main evils - trump and musk. And I wonder how many of the other tech bros could take over control and hacking of satellites, or set up other tech gizmos to do the deed.

I'm not so concerned about there being an election, as I am that the election is truly free, fair, and legitimate. I'd very much like to see the UN and some appointed nations oversee the election, verify and validate that it's all on the up and up... including using their own eye in the sky spy innovations to keep an eye on any hanky panky that could go on thanks to tech and satellites. But, I admit, that's just my opinion, and I'm more than a wee bit cynical at this point. Regardless, I WILL still vote. I just want my vote to actually count for as much as it can, seeing I'm true blue in a very red state.

All of the federal job losses that plenty of MAGAs HAD. Also all the deaths and destructing fires, catastrophic weather incidents without ANY? FEMA funds will bite several of them on their asses.

Gov Abbott is struggling to look helpful in the latest catastrophe here in Texas and tornado/hurricane season will be starting earlier than usual this year.

There are LOTs of moderate Republicans that won’t be able to afford to continue supporting tRUMP.
I think we will take both House/Senate with a good margin. They can’t fight back with the shitty policies that the GOP has supported.
