Chelsea's Photo After Trump Gate-Crash Is Being Read As A Master Class In Subtle Shade
The Club World Cup champion team didn't, contrary to online rumors, edit the president from its snap. But critics do think the image choice made a statement.
On Monday, Chelsea marked the win with a celebratory team photo shared to social media.
But in that image, Trump wasnt front and center.
Instead, the photo, like the ones above and below, was taken after Trump had moved toward the back of the group of victorious players.
Just like in a Wheres Waldo? puzzle, he could still be spotted, but tucked into the background.
Rumors spread online that the club had edited him out of the shot, but they were false.
Some fans, though, still interpreted the selection of that particular photo ― in which Trump had a decidedly lower profile ― as a subtle snub.
They could have chosen a picture where he was visible in the picture, but they chose not to. We can only applaud, one person commented on Chelseas Instagram post.
