Those moral Christian values Maga likes to claim were in full display today

at a "prayer luncheon for faith leaders" according to Ron Filipkowski.

This is what he told the faithful: "I said to one guy, he's a very, very unattractive man, but he's smart and he's rich, and I said, you better hope that we get this thing passed because your wife will be gone within about two minutes."

So he's telling "faith leaders" that he passed the big ugly bill, which takes Medicaid away from millions and explodes the deficit so that some ugly rich guy could keep his trophy wife. There is so much wrong here.

And the corporate media yawns, ignores, normalizes, sanewashes or a combination of all of the above.

This is a prayer luncheon for faith leaders where Trump is telling this story of an ugly billionaire whose trophy wife might leave him if he didn’t get his tax cuts.

Apparently, he also said that Democrats "are evil people in many ways" which will also be ignored.

and I know many church going Christians who wouldn't be caught dead at such a luncheon listening to and supporting such remarks. But it seems so hypocritical to claim Christian values and to support this bill simultaneously, as both trump and Mike Johnson do.

Since when? But yeah, I guess you could say he is getting worse which is downright terrifying.

I still wonder when the last time any of these foul characters last touched a bible, or preached a little bit from the bible, held someone's hand who was in need or helped w/ a small donation of some sort when someone was in need?

Funny that they preach the loudest when they are on TV or among other people, but when it comes to actual giving, doing, providing, etc., there's no one in the room at all, they are not even there. Kind of like tRUMP who loudly proclaimed that he donated wads of money when he in truth didn't.

BUT, I'm rained in at the moment so, just imagine if President Biden had said that.

about Biden. But you know, the more I think about it, why? People (even Dem leaders) should say that repeatedly. If no one comments on the hypocrisy it is easier to normalize it.

One of the main themes of the Republican party is hypocrisy. How frequently should we point it out, when does "always pointing it out" become counterproductive, allowing it to fade into the background?

Probably no one correct answer for every person.
