About i.c.e.
Is anyone infiltrating the agency to go through hiring and training procedures? Does anyone know what the pay grade is? How much money does it take to be a complete monster from 9-5 and go home to the wife and kiddies and act human? Does anyone know how many thugs there are and how many commanders? Are the thugs who are actually attacking people on drugs that make them aggressive? if we could find i.c.e. thugs off duty, could there be interventions?
I was thinking about the brave souls who try to protect a person from being swarmed and kidnapped by i.c.e. thugs. Can citizens get training so they can be more effective protecting people from i.c.e. attacks? I'd like to see small groups trained to non violently distract the thugs from their victim, and get the victim away from the conflict.
During attacks, I was thinking of Brad Lander with his hand on Edgardo's shoulder. As soon as Mr. Lander's hand was off, another person should have put their hand on his shoulder, just keep physical contact with the person getting attacked going, and keep saying 'shame', or some short mantra that might get through to some of the thugs and make them quit. There is strength in numbers, on the street, and as we saw in LA today, having the authority to say no and bar i.c.e thugs entry to property seems to discourage them from kidnapping people.
I'm not a military person, and not a lawyer, so I don't want to suggest courses of action that get innocent people in trouble. But if we have a rogue agency that follows no law and has no respect for people, we need to prepared and alert, and expect that we will see something we'd like to stop. We should get training to have the emotional strength to confront injustice. A lot of the raids and kidnappings are successful because we don't expect them to happen and we are as stunned as the person who got knocked down.
