In 2 weeks?

Hey Donald! If you already have the world on pins and needles? You’re just adding to the chaos of your own words!

A lot can happen in 2 weeks and none of it is good! Just like the tariffs, you have no clue what you’re doing or how to deal with anything, anyone or any other issue that will arise to a crisis.

No, you should not enter into a war that we have no business or control over. Iran, although they are a threat, is not the culprit here. And all you’re doing is fanning the flames of war, just so you can sweep in and say “I know how fix it”! Which means you have no problem with wiping out Iran? Can’t you just say it without all the pandering that you live for?

You have enough problems here in the states of your own undoings. The simplest things are being made to be the hardest by your worst instincts and that is why we are having so much chaos and fear in the world, no thanks to you and your goons. Dangerous times are ahead for all of us and you will never be able to escape this at all.

To paraphrase Groucho, he denies everything he says, because everything he says is a lie, and everything he denies is a lie, too.

Early in his first term she was going to give a speech on immigration (since she herself is an immigrant) in “two weeks”. My husband and I said it would never happen, and it didn’t. Since then we laugh every time that idiot says something will happen in two weeks.

I think we all can see the path do far. Iran is allied with russia, so he didn't want anything to happen to them other than bluster. He's torn because netenyahu is a major cause of his apparent re-election and at least ethically, and extreme kindred spirit, so he wants to back him as well. Without actually harming a Russian ally, preferably.

Then Israel attacked and looks like it is dominating, so he wants to be seen with them.

Donald Trump's reliance on a two-week timeline for a decision on Iran represents a striking failure of self-awareness.

The White House says Trump’s decision on Iran is “two weeks” away.

It’s rare to see a failure of self-awareness this brazen. Does the administration not realize that we’re all well aware of the “two week” trick? Which they’ve relied on far too often, for far too long? www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Evidently, I can stop hitting refresh — for two weeks.

At her latest briefing, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt acknowledged the “speculation” about the White House’s policy, which led her to read a prepared statement from the president. It read, “Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks.”

It’s difficult to say with confidence whether these negotiations exist or whether they’ll succeed, but the fact that Trump and his team has rolled out another “two week” timeline represents a remarkable failure of self-awareness.

Last week for example, the president said U.S. trading partners should expect letters on unilateral tariff rates in “two weeks.” Shortly before that, the president was asked about Vladimir Putin’s alleged interest in “peace.” He replied, “I can’t tell you that, but I’ll let you know in about two weeks.”

Last month, Trump was asked about tariff rates on pharmaceutical products. “I’ll know in the next two weeks,” he said.

Alas, we can keep going. Where’s Trump’s health care plan? It’ll be ready in “two weeks.” What about a possible minimum-wage increase? That, too, will be unveiled in “two weeks.” On everything from tax policy to infrastructure, immigration to reproductive health, the president’s detailed solutions are always just “two weeks” away......

In this latest example, a reporter felt compelled to remind Leavitt of the familiarity of the administration’s latest timeline.

If recent history is any guide, she and Trump will keep using it anyway, indifferent to the embarrassment.
