General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIn my book, the BEST thing about the ABA lawsuit are the named defendents.
Of all the lawsuits filed to date, this is the clearest statement. And that statement is this:
The 47 regime is WEAPONIZING EVERY cabinet level department AGAINST the Rule of Law. They are WEAPONIZING EVERY office and commission that has a broad Congressional mandate to promote the public interest AGAINST the Rule of Law.
And we have the Evidence!
And another kicker is the firm representing the ABA: Susman Godfrey, the Huston-based firm fighting against 47's unconstitutional executive order against them. (Ruling on the merits pending, but I think the regime has been losing, losing, losing on motions to date.)
You'll find the filed lawsuit here:

And here's a (somewhat) consolidated list of the named parties.

I thought we'd see a lot more about this. But there is just so much going on right now, I think it has been buried. I assume we'll be hearing more in the coming weeks and months at the case moves along. But here are a couple videos that have popped up on my radar.
Brian Tyler Cohen interview with Marc Elias on the lawsuit:
And this is from Michael Popok on Legal AF:

(11,419 posts)Still thinking Brian Tyler Cohen as I typed Michael Popok I guess. Ending up with Michael Cohen is definitely strange because I generally can't listen to that guy (Michael Cohen) more than about 30 seconds. Yes, he has things to say, but grates on my nerves big time!

(11,419 posts)I'd have to look at Executive Agencies "A-Z" for others, but scanning, the only "big" offices that come to mind that are not named are NOAA and NASA.

(12,987 posts)His Department of Hate should be hit hard by the ABA.
Actually, you are right. I'd love to see him:
EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT and Stephen Miller, in his capacity as Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy...
But then there are a host of advisors that should probably be named....
Perhaps they just decided it was best to put the responsibility for actions by the Office of the Executive 100% on the Inciter in Chief... no dilution.
