El Cheeto's dream to protect "my people" in the federal bureaucracy and fire his enemies just might come true, with a sneaky provision in the budget bill. Via HuffPost:
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which passed 215-214, cuts $1 trillion in federal health and food programs while adding nearly $4 trillion in tax cuts steered primarily to the wealthy. But it also includes a little-noticed provision that would force new federal employees to either give up traditional job protections or take a significant cut to their compensation.
If the measure survives in whatever package the GOP-controlled Senate passes, unions warn it could turn the federal workforce into an old-school spoils system.

(12,267 posts)are thinking about trashing the USPS, so that they can privatize it with UPS or FedEx.........Of course it's a two-for for them.....they would also obliterate one of the few major unions.
Expect the same with Federal Workers Union Busting....next will be wiping out the Service Industry Unions.......

(12,267 posts)of our Utility company..........they hired a guy to run their Electrical Services, whose last job was being in charge of deliveries for one of the big package delivery services......
When he interviewed for the job, he told the Board Members, that there was no reason a lineman "call" should take no longer than six minutes to resolve.........LOL Can you imagine ????????????????......... 99% of the time, lineman "calls" are for something major.
I can only guess that he thought the lineman's jobs were mostly calls because the homeowner didn't know how to throw a circuit breaker...
