(3,031 posts)yesterday saying -short version-he should update his SS online account due to increased sign in requirements.
We are going to call local SS office tomorrow to try and get help with this. ( He doesn't think he has online account for one thing).
There was mention in this email about potential probs. getting monthly payments if he doesn't follow through, but they didn't
give a specific date.
Basically, mildly terrifying. If one or two payments don't come on schedule we're in real trouble.
Don't know, but this sounds somewhat like what you received.

I use Login.gov for access to my Social Security account

(3,031 posts)And I suspect that phone call or visit to local SS office will result in our setting up accounts.
I don't think I ever set up SS account and if my husband did, we can't find the password, etc. The email assumed he had
an account, but it may have been a template, standard email.
In any case, we'll get started tomorrow.
