ANOTHER FUCKUP - Trump goons say Harvard demand letter sent "by mistake."

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-harvard-2671803666/

The sweeping set of demands President Donald Trump’s administration insisted Harvard University comply with last Friday was sent to the elite institution by mistake and should never have hit their inbox, according to the New York Times.

But by the time Harvard received “a frantic call from a Trump official,” the following Monday, it was too late. The university had already defied the president’s demands for control, “setting off a tectonic battle between one of the country’s most prestigious universities and a U.S. president,” the Times reported.

Columbia needs to reverse course on this and save a fraction of its integrity.

Some get stopped in their tracks...and others make it through. Death by a thousand cuts. But the end result is an erosion of democartic principles.

even though they have loyalists in charge this time, they still have a fair amount of idiots in charge, and those who might have some level of expertise aren't pushing back on mistakes due to "loyalty." What this confirms for me is that they are truly schoolyard level bullies, and they backdown when people stand up to them.

It's the Fascist Playbook:

• Intimidation
• Incarceration
• Extermination

Truly the more things change the more they tend towards staying the same.

Same as it ever was.

This is a blatant CYA maneuver by trump, in response to the blowback from Harvard's strong response to his arrogant, brain-dead attempt at control. Extremely important development---Harvard should serve as a proud model for us all.

The only mistakes they made was believing that nobody was going to stand up to their bullying, and then bullying the wrong people. Harvard stood up to them, and they didn't expect that. Now, they're trying to save face, by claiming it was an accident. That, and they are realizing the stupidity of trying to bully the school that trained a whole bunch of the best, most powerful lawyers in the country, including multiple Supreme Court members. And, they're not going to stand for their alma mater being attacked.

They sure have a lot of those "accidents." It was the same thing with the Kilmar Abrego Garcia "mistake." They knew damn well what they were doing, and it blew up in their faces. Now, they're trying to cover their asses. Same shit, different day.

The only question here: Do they implode from their own stupidity before they finish destroying this country, or after?

They sent the letter with the assumption that Harvard would quietly fold and go along with the demands. Just like Columbia and other institutions are doing.

But Harvard fought back and now the White House is scrambling. Like bullies always do.

This is proof that defiance against Trump works.

At Helsinki in 2017, Trump believed Putin over the US Intelligence Community; then after the public outrage he was a servile poodle, he didn’t. So, he sent out spokespeople saying he did, then sent others who said he didn’t say that.

See how chaotic? Time passes and nothing good gets done.
