I am sick of people who have decided to stop paying attention.

They don't like what's going on, but its not their problem.

They think it will all go away after the next election or two. They aren't worried about their children or grandchildren growing up in a fascist state.

"There's nothing to be done, so why worry? And please don't bring up the subject again. It's unpleasant and kind of rude."

Lazy, entitled, spoiled people.
Do they deserve to live in a democracy?

They know nothing else but living in a democracy.
Free people.
Stable economy.

Now they may indeed lose it all.

I have both in my family & the willfully ignorant are the ones I'm most pissed at. College-educated professionals who always live in blue states but whine all the time about how awful dems are at the economy & foreign policy. Claimed they didn't know about Trump's bankruptcies before voting for him the first time. Frankly, I'd be embarrassed to admit that. At one point I thought of them as deluded conservatives but they are three-time Trump voters now, so that makes them full-on cult. ~insert flip-the-bird emoji here

would remain just as it has for years. We became complacent with that attitude, taking our democracy for granted. What has happened in the past 3 months has been planned for years. We even underestimated the maga cult crowd as being just a bunch of dumb asses.
There is no guarantee that there will be elections in either '26 or '28.
So the line for those not paying attention is long and Trump likes it that way.

has been planned for a very long time, probably since FDR. Some of us have been paying attention, but not enough of us. Too much distraction from social media.

None of us can afford to pretend this shit isn’t happening and it isn’t serious as a heart attack.

The people who blithely say” oh, I don’t watch the news it messes up my vibe” or “what can lil ‘ol me do about it “I just want to punch in the face as hard as I can.
