Because while the absolute performance of foreign indices has been better, the declining dollar has supercharged foreign returns.

On the Intertubes. I have done very very well and I have one thing to say about these “correction is expected” folk.

It’s a pure rationalization for bad times: you know when the market goes up, everyone talks heatedly about the great value of the market and progress and American know-how and all the other cheerleader bullshit. Then, when it stands on its head and plummets, it’s simply a matter of “correcting” an “overvaluation”. Nobody said that your pharma stock was overvalued when the company introduced a cure for hepatitis. But it apparently was, or they’re telling you it was.

And yes, I understand that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and yes, I am going to make a fair amount on this nightmare we are living through, but I’m just saying….

It is because of action. Often it is the Fed using interest rates to stimulate.
In 2009, it was what Obama did.
In 2021 it was what Biden did to get us out of the Trump COVID recession.
Now we will have the guy causing the crash in charge the next 4 years.
There will be no fast correction.
Think Hoover in 29.

Oh wait, that would be the honest thing to do. GOP will instead squirm away, try to blame Hilary or Obama, for the GOP has long shown America that their party has no honor.
