I caught Lawrence tonight as I was

coming back from the grocer. I had just been thinking about the Garcia matter and how this simple routine of going to get food was now something taken away from him and for his family something that perhaps was changed forever.

Then I turned on the radio and heard Lawrence announcing the 4th Circuit decision and he was reading it. A judge speaking truth in a straightforward way and rebuking a President drunk with arrogant power. A judge speaking about humanity and the basic human right of due process. I was heartened to hear the words "cruel and unusual" applied to the idea of knowingly sending someone to a notoriously cruel prison.

Those 3 words describe the entire basis of the MAGA/GQP fascists.

My hope is the Garcia family will one day once again make a grocery list and go to the store, select things, bag them up and go home just like before. Just like all of us.

I’m so hopeful that since Van Hollen has seen Abrego Garcia alive that he’ll get out of CECOT in some manner but there’s no way he’s getting his US life back imo.

And honestly, his family should be already looking for asylum in Canada or Mexico right now so if/when he gets out he has a reasonable chance at a full life. Between this psychotic and sadistic administration and the psycho MAGAts who’ve been brainwashed into believing he’s a terrorist, he’s not safe here
