That is a quote from Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

She said the fear of retaliation is "real".

It is a shocking statement to hear from a sitting US Senator, from either Party.

But why should they fear Donald Trump? They don't want to lose their power? They actually put their personal job over the security of this nation? What does that say about their oath to defend our Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic?

If they were not "afraid", a small number of 4 or 5 Senators could start their own caucus and be able to checkmate Trump and his destructive policies. They would hold all the power over him.

Their "fear" does not make sense.
