A post from someone in attendance at last night's MTG town hall

One reply lends a bit of additional context:
I was born and raised in her district. The fact her constituents behaved this way comes as no surprise to me and is one reason I left.

BTW, she's not from there and has done absolutely nothing for her district. She's simply a wrecking ball her voters sent to Washington - and they love it because they are a deeply cynical lot.

I find my naiveness both embarrassing and deeply sad. I seriously weep for my country and the people in it who have been subjected to this kind of hate.

It was striking how venomously they display their conviction that democrats are vile, evil despicable people

I would just pass this off as bots, or a few wackos, but unfortunately I've seen it first hand in some extended family members too

The years of brainwashing to cause this conditioning has been very successful, and I'm sure it's not by accident either

Think of our moral lives as a pyramid. It is far easier to fall to the bottom than it is to climb to the top. Once you convince people that falling to the bottom is okay, you get where we are now. And, once we allow the bottom feeders to have any 'normalization'. you get our current political state.

skewed to the right. Since then, it has become republican hate permeating the lifeblood of our country, by moving ever further to the extreme right. Convincing people the media was "liberal" gave them cover to turn this into a Marjorie Taylor Greene cultural fiasco.

( we know who they are), all need to go to a newly built max prison named after trump, and live out their days as convicted traitors to the country.

Saying if we had a better message or candidate we could reach these people . They vote for her because she is as hateful as they are and they don’t care about anything other than their perceived exceptionalism.

Exactly.

They're hateful bigots who are fully onboard for the US to become Nazi Germany.

We can't reach them, because they are in a cult.
The people we need to reach are the people who didn't bother to vote, or voted third party.
The brainwashed idiots are lost, until they realize that they have been duped and are the problem.

that 'it's not about party' tells me the person posting hasn't yet had the epiphany that it most certainly is about party. One party wants to save democracy the other wants to destroy it. Any vote for a Republican is a vote against self interest and democracy. Republicans, you see, are only interested in themselves.
