The meeting was on Signal

Because then there would be no transcript and the conversation wouldn't be archived. But that violated the law

I know, what do they do that doesn't?

Someone better get a hold of Jeffrey Goldberg's screen shot.

Using Signal violated the Federal Record Keeping Act.

.....but Hillary's emails.

Because Jeffrey Goldberg has the goods.

Someone's head will roll. And a few more rookie mistakes like these, and this nightmare may end.

7. Trump

This is eating into his attention, and it is not flattering. It doesn't project competence or power.

You are right that we live in 'who the heck knows' world now, and it is entirely plausible that nothing happens.

However, this particular scandal feels different to me, and I suspect that there will be a fall person. Vance cannot be fired, so I'd wager the NSA director or Tulsi end up taking one of the team. Maybe Hegseth.

Edit - The reason why I (in my limited capacity to understand Trump) think this is different is because all of the other scandals in this administration has been about cruelty and ego. This controversy isn't projecting cruelty or tough-guy-ness. It is projecting simple stupidity and rank incompetence.

Trump already excused Waltz' F-up adding Goldberg to the chat, and he DGAF about Natl Security. This will blow over when the next Daily Scandal breaks.

This discussion from Rick Wilson & Stuart Stevens does a good job of capturing how truly intolerable their breach is.

through our representatives in Congress.

With articles out there they can just refer to the crimes set forth in aggregate and shift straight to the lawful reforms that embrace true American values, ACTUALLY improve our lives, give working class people a Real shot at the American dream, and finally reform our immigration system in ways that Strengthen, not weaken our nation.

Voters must see a tangible way to utterly reject the Un-American, immoral Republican lawlessness through impeachment and removal AND a positive way forward if we expect them to return Congressional power to Democrats by a large enough majority to get things done.

Why haven't the Democrats in the House drafted articles of impeachment?

Put them out there and shame their Republican colleagues for dereliction of duty. Those in-your-face protests and meetings with Republicans can all be focused on Fulfill Your Oath: Impeach Trump and Vance!

Everyone wants them "Stopped" but I haven't heard a friggin peep from them about the ONLY effective means of stopping them that our constitution provides. Impeachment and removal. Force the to defend the crimes being committed in plain sight. No "wait for the courts" shit.

Why is it the only demands for impeachment are coming from 47 against judges who are fulfilling their oaths!

Call me a cOnSPiRaCy theorist, but I believe that the Republican Speaker of the House is preventing any action on the impeachment. And I know that this sounds cRaZy, but I believe that the Republicans who control the Senate wouldn't vote two-thirds to remove Trump or Vance knowing that it would infuriate their base and that Musk would fund their opponents in the next election with 10x as much money as they can raise.

That's just my take on it, as someone who believes that the wealthy really DO conspire behind closed doors to run things to benefit themselves, and as someone who believes that about one third of the US actually DOES support Trump and that one third won't really care as long as they get their hamberders and sportsball.

... needs to co-sign. And it doesn't matter how many times Johnson blocks. Call on voters to demand that their Republican Reps to do their duty and co-sign.

The articles need to be raised in every conversation: "These are crimes, we've laid them out. On this, Congress is the police force. And Republican refusal to act is worse that a cop turning a blind eye to a gangland murder in plain sight. This gang isn't murdering a single person. They are murdering our fundamental values, our form of government, and are destroying American lives and the American economy in the process
