(36,820 posts)The contours in the cheek area are off. Maybe the chin, as well - they are definitely off in combination with the cheeks, but when I cover up the cheeks it's pretty close to reality. As to purposefully distorted, . If he's ever actually tried to paint a realistic portrait he would know how hard it is to get it right.
And it is really stupid to throw a tantrum over a portrait, especially one intended to honor you.
Now . . . what is "purposefully distorted" are all the "hero" trading cards of him that he loves so much.
