Speaker Johnson: "I think it would be a terrible mistake ..."

“I think it would be a terrible mistake for there to be adverse consequences on any of the people that were involved in that call,” Johnson said.

“They were trying to do a good job, the mission was accomplished with precision.”

They were trying to do a good job!!

If I had discussed something, anything, about my classified work in a social media group chat... not only would I have been arrested, I would likely just now be petitioning for release from federal prison.

And I wasn't in those sort of meetings about DOD actions or plans.

Tell it to the prosecutors and law enforcement fired for daring to investigate the crimes of Trump and his supporters, as the law requires.

Tell it to the people who worked their asses off their entire lives, paid into Social Security for decades, and are now being told that because there is only $2.7 trillion left in the SS Trust Fund that we need to cut benefits and privatize the whole program.

Tell it to the people who are on Medicaid, through no fault of their own, who will not be able to get healthcare for themselves or their families because you decided, in the name of Jesus, that tax cuts for the wealthiest is more important than healthcare for the poor.

That Hillary Clinton be prosecuted for forwarding three mis-marked, lowest-level classified emails to other State Department officials who didn't have the right security clearance. This is FAR BEYOND three mis-marked emails classified as "sensitive" material.

They know they can ride out any storm. Just deny and deflect long enough until next thing (good or bad). This won;t even be a speedbump. Voters won't care or remember. Republicans will come home like lemmings next election.

It's DEMOCRATS who get slayed on the alter for any transgression. Don't we all know that?

This was a massive breach of national security. And it's likely not the first time they did it. Everything points to them using unsecure channels for all communications. There were national security details discussed on that chat that any nefarious actor in the world could have easily accessed. Just because the action in Yemen didn't appear to be affected, doesn't mean that information wasn't shared that could still have dire consequences out into the future. Every single one of them should lose their jobs along with anyone who defends them.

if it were Biden or Obama’s administration who perpetrated such an egregious breach of security they would be calling for heads to roll and impeachment to commence immediately. He and his posse of criminal hypocrites sicken me to no end. Is it just me, but Johnson puts out the weirdo vibes of a man who has plenty to hide. I cringe when I hear him speak and see those deeply creepy eyes behind his spectacles.
