Trump's stunt was in violation of federal policy.

The Office of Government Ethics section 2635.702 states that a federal employee ‘shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the
endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of
friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a
nongovernmental capacity.’

Maybe just maybe some citizens should file charges against this fucker and that illegal immigrant...........has anyone asked him about his fucking green card papers yet............just asking for friend............

So there's nothing to enforce. If he had a boss, then maybe he could be fired or reprimanded somehow for violating a policy, but he is the ultimate decider as far as adhering to policy goes and what the penalties are. All we can do is keep score of the violations and stew about it. Hopefully some of his supporters will take note, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

He and his buds are a bunch of psychopaths. Following any law isn't a concern for the psychopath. They don't acknowledge the difference between right and wrong or believe in laws. It's an entirely foreign concept for their twisted minds. They can't even think about it.

Laws are not and never will be a deterrent for any psychopath. It's one of the characteristics that defines them.

Some people never learn.

A policy could be used to dismiss someone who works under you. But Trump has no superior to decide his fate. The only way this could be used would be as a foundation to impeach (which, as oft-discussed here in the past, is a political process, not one of law enforcement). But this House will not impeach, and this Senate would not convict. So he can pretty much do what he wants, unless maybe we somehow manage to get control of Congress in 2026.

And, as the court has decided, as long as whatever he does is done in his official capacity as president, it can't be illegal, either.

Even though he got it illegally. He left South Africa shortly before he was 18, and would have had to serve the military there. He moved to Canada, where he was granted citizenship due to his mother being born in Canada. In 1995, he got a student visa but left college to take part in the “dotcom” bubble, and other business schemes. That would have made his student visa invalid. He became citizen of the US in 2002.

AFAIC He should be sent back to South Africa, and fitted with one of their traditional pieces of “jewelry.”

Our reality is like a bizarre Hollywood spoof where the president paves over the Rose Garden to put in an auto dealership.

Is this the logical endpoint to a culture which values style over substance and plastic fakeness over reality?
