(25,011 posts)I hope we get some better messaging from Democrats this year. A well-publicized "shadow government" positioned to offer salient critique of destructive and corrupt practices would be a worthwhile venture, but let's not pretend to leadership when the Republicans hold the federal government and the mainstream media outlets and increasingly social media as well. We're a long way from leading anything for a while.

(3,791 posts)The only LIGHT I've seen was reflecting off of Merrick Garland's glasses and Louis DeJoy's giant bald head.
And apparently we were POWERLESS to turn those lights off, yes I'm mad, I was radicalized Chicago '68, ran the first ever Anti Vietnam demonstration in Birmingham, Alabama in 1969 ( and cops cracked our skulls with billy clubs) and have been demonstrating and fighting back for FITY-FOUR YEARS now!
*BETTER TOGETHER* my ass.
You know how you lead???
YOU PASS IRON CLAD VOTER PROTECTION LAWS with guaranteed prison sentences for anyone who interferes with another's lawful right to vote.
This should have been done INSTANTLY under Obama when we had the house, the Senate and the Presidency. And then every 6 weeks or so, just pass more laws to keep strengthening it and forever eliminating voter suppression.
THEN, and ONLY THEN, pass Obamacare etc, the very foundation of democracy AND OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY HOLDING POWER is having everyone able to vote.
I'm 73 now, I cannot believe we have reached this level of wimpiness.
Ban me if you want to, I couldn't care less at this point, although I have loved Democratic Underground for many years.

(2,991 posts)You had a duty under the 14th amendment. You failed.
Not one God-damn investigation into fraud committed by a known liar and a cheat. A known Russian asset.
Pink Tu-Tu Democrats. You need to fight in order to lead.
I dread being an American.
