I thought my anger at this election would fade. It's hotter than ever today.

Certification is just another log on the fire.
I have no fucks to give anymore for everyone who voted for this corrupt regime.

I STILL have not been able to really open the taps on tears and release the pent fury/sadness. I know I'd feel better, but can't get a good cry going and clear out the bad hormones in my bloodstream.

Hell, I cry easily, for bad AND good things. But since Nov 7? Two tears fall then it all stops. Sometimes, I fear exploding, literally.

Anger? Yes indeed. But mostly, it's the profoundly deep sadness that so many people are either complete idiots or so filled with un-examined anger that they deliberately want to destroy everything and hurt everybody.

At my age, it's weird that I would still harbor hope for this nation and its people, but I do, or rather, I did. I feel like a vital organ has been ripped from me and left me slowly bleeding out.

In addition to 2000, 2016, and 2024.

It's hard for me to accept that none of those can be reversed. Every time I hope for a blue tsunami so that some of the damage from those elctions can be undone, the American electorate disillusions me.

Led to the republican "southern strategy". That resulted in 12 years of a republican in the white house.

BTW, I believe Carter would have won in '76 regardless of who the R candidate was. Watergate left a bad taste in the electorate's mouth. If it had been Reagan in '76, America would be a much different place today...

Because of Chappaquiddick. It's a fantasy. The death of an innocent girl trumps a family name. Think of the entire American electorate. The Dems should have put forth stronger candidates. Rather than who was next in line. David Boron of Oklahoma immediately comes to mind. I know. Mondale was the favorite. Boron had better appeal across the total electorate.

It’s even worse than I thought though. It’s why I didn’t end up going to law school. I would not want to be associated with the Supreme Court - the highest court in the land. I have to give the lawyers in the ACLU and others fighting for civil rights props for being able to deal with the mess without going ballistic. What was that movie that had Al Pacino in it as a lawyer? That was realistic. I would have been Pacino x 10 with my temper.

going to protest the certification. At least one did back when Bush Jr was selected. This time, no one speaks for the many, many of us... especially those of us who are veterans... who know the constitution reads in black and white that he shouldn't even have been allowed to run, let alone be certified.

I've been a Democrat my entire life, and I'll die voting Democrat. But let me tell you, I'm sorely disappointed over these past 10-15 years at how little the Democrats have gotten done in the vital areas of shoring up democracy and rights for every American. There are all kinds of excuses, but I'm just really tired of hearing them.

I knew today was certification day. I just kind of blew it off... the same way I'm probably going to blow it all off from this point on, as much as I can, anyway. Eventually, sooner rather than later, my hot button will get pushed and I'll feel the righteous anger and move toward action at that point.

Then it made sense. Things are horrible in the entire world. Dump is going to screw up everything, that's when all things will be seen in a different light. I watched a video this morning made by Tim (forgot his last name) of the Bulmark. In this video Tim had different people giving their predictions of the coming year.

They all had different views, but the one that caught my attention was the last person on. She is publisher of the Bulwark. She said that dump and his gang are going to cannibalize each other.

When you have candidates that are the bottom of the barrel and ignorant to boot, you know dam well things will go from bad to worse. All we have to do is sit back and watch the turmoil that's created. Then we'll be able say, hey dump you told the American people that you know everything, you're going to fix all our problems, what the hell happened. Remember, dump loves firing people and he hasn't changed that much.

Someone said that Johnson will be the first of the first speaker to go with 2 more to follow. Anyway after listening to all, I don't feel so bad because we all know he's going to fuck up so bad.
