A HUGE Thank You, Joe!

I'm a semi-retired teacher (still doing sub work), and every other teacher here knows exactly where I'm going with this.

When I signed my contract to teach, I was enrolled in a public employee's pension plan, which was great, but it meant giving up 2/3 of my own social security benefits. That's fine for the kids just starting out on their teaching career, but I returned to teaching in my late 50's and had 30+ years of contributions, so obviously was not happy. (And BTW, they told us this AFTER we signed our contracts!)

Anyway, the best president this country ever had just ended that. It will affect about 3 million people who lost SS benefits due to a private pension plan. My appointment with SS is the 21st of this month...will let you guys know what happens!!
