We went to our local Costco this afternoon and they had no eggs. We been going to that Costco for 12 years and that has never happened.
Could be due to bird flu. I don't know. Just weirdness.

(40,421 posts)We are fortunate to have farmers nearby who sell eggs very cheap. And never a shortage. No bird flu here in North Kansas. Yet.

The recall alert said the recalled eggs were sold in 25 stores in these states:
Alabama
Georgia
North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee

(5,228 posts)and last week prices jumped up considerably because of the bird flu. Cheapest dozen is almost $6 and some are as much as $12/doz. Even before last week, the entire egg case has been about half full on a good day.
