"Trump coverage needs to change and here's how" by Dan Froomkin

The link to the article from Dan Froomkin at PRESS WATCH is below the excerpts I chose.

“You’ve got to stop covering him like he’s just another politician, with a different agenda,” Johnston told me recently. “He’s a criminal and a con artist. And that has to be central to everything you cover about him.”

For journalists, failing to situate Trump’s words and actions in the context of an ongoing con is tantamount to deception. It’s not just failing to tell the whole story, it’s failing to tell the central story.

Once you acknowledge that Trump is a con artist above all else, everything becomes clearer. For instance, it’s no longer surprising that he has no idea how to govern. That’s not his thing. Nor does he have a clearly definable political agenda, other than seizing power and destroying enemies.

He is the proverbial snake-oil salesman. That’s the accurate framing. But it’s not what we’re getting from the traditional mainstream media."

It's why I (almost always) call him the grifter.
Indeed - I try not to utter his name, if possible.

It's the ultimate false equivalency...making Trump seem like other people in government

pence had secret documents
Biden had secret documents
Trump had enough to be in jail for 30 years
See all the same

Hunter Biden related to Joe Biden criminal
Trump full criminal
see the same

we can go all day on this crap

But to be fair - MSNBC covered his response at the Time interview, regarding not being able to lower grocery prices after all. They covered it as a "turn around", lie, con...however you want to define it. They didn't give him a pass and report it as "normal", like other outlets did.

He should have been attacked and called out for what he is a long time ago, in 2015 and even before that, instead he was enabled and helpe.

the Biden-Harris administration, which is to say, almost not at all. on the otther hand, we did not have to watch Biden-Harris every minute, worrying about how they were going to fuck with us next.

They reported on Donnie Dipshit being required to report for sentencing. ABC then reported the typical Donnie Dipshit response; "it's a sham trial, I did nothing wrong, it's a corrupt judge, it's a corrupt system, it's political prosecution, etc., ad nauseum".

Problem is, none of what Donnie Dipshit claims is true! NONE OF IT!!!

What he "claims" is NOT news.

Reporting what he claims is DISINFORMATION

There was a trial.

There was expert witness testimony.

There were thousands of business records, bank transactions, cancelled checks, emails and physical evidence.

A jury heard and reviewed all this evidence and unanimously convicted him.

ABC may think that allowing him to lie on national TV is just "being unbiased". It's NOT!!!!!

Allowing him to lie, IS ALLOWING HIM TO LIE!

Publishing his lies is malpractice and disinformation.
