(13,683 posts)Just because someone has a federal or state pension and also paid into Social Security should not mean that they're taking away from seniors who only had Social Security to fall back on? That's what the current system seems to do; punish seniors who also paid into pensions as well as Social Security.
I can see offsetting my Military Pension and my Federal Civilian pension that also counts the years I was in the Military, if I did not pay off my Military Pension time before I retired the Feds (that's actually double-dipping if I didn't pay it), but not the Social Security I paid into over the years.
Other than that, not quite sure what that last part was about. Must be a typo, I've done that before

(2,504 posts)Are you sure about that ?. All the updates Ive seen indicate that he will sign it on Sunday 1/5 (tomorrow) at 4 PM.
