Tough shit god boy.
Canadian Government bid to remove charitable status from advancement of religion groups and anti-abortion organizations draws ire of Evangelicals.
Recommendation 429 calls for the government to no longer provide charitable status to anti-abortion organizations and Recommendation 430 wants to amend the Income Tax Act to provide a definition of a charity which would remove the privileged status of advancement of religion as a charitable purpose, stated the EFC.
Both recommendations are found in the report under Chapter Five, A Competitive Fiscal Policy, Sustainable Finances and Efficient Government Operations.

But if the U.S. did that, how would the preachers pay, for their private jets, mansons, private islands, etc:?

The concept behind ministers is that they oft house people in dire straits. So, there housing is not taxed. (Not that Joel Osteen houses enough needy folk to warrant his oversized sprawling mansion.)
Churches are seen as refuge for people in difficult situations. So, churches were given property tax breaks. (That doesn't seem to be the case as much as we would like, but I have seen it in action.)
