Breaking: Donald Trump conspired with Michael Cohen to pay off multiple other women prior to Election Day in 2016. They were also concerned about a pregnancy. Cohen has evidence and info in his possession and it must be released to the public. Now! #Basta

(36,903 posts)Americans ignored it to allow the election to be stolen. I have no faith that it would've mattered at all. Traitor Tot could've kept his money.

(56,844 posts)before the election, Evangelicals liked Pence, but were unsure of Trump. They held their noses and voted for him.
If news of an abortion came it, many would still have voted for him, but if only 1 in 20 decided to stay home or vote 3rd party, it would have swung MI and WI to Clinton and PA would have been razor thin one way or the other.

(2,026 posts)Trump had to accept Pence in order to get support from Republicans.
I think they thought they could control him and had Pence waiting in case things went wrong.
I don't think they ever thought that the trump presidency would be this much of a disaster, a detriment to the country and to their party.
They thought they had it under control.

(36,903 posts)I think the entire GOP leadership is so tainted by Russia that if they cut Trump loose, they go down too. They are fucked--that is if there are any institutions still left in this country willing or able to hold any of them accountable. That's why they're panicking so much and stacking the courts as much as they can for the inevitable lawsuits coming down the pike.

He was literally bragging about assaulting women. Is this such a stretch ?

Asked by Maureen Dowd whether he was ever involved with anyone who underwent procedure, Trump replies simply: Such an interesting question

(52,978 posts)and if there was an abortion the Christian Right will still give him a pass since "it happened BEFORE he was elected". This is how they excuse everything he does or did. Hypocrites and enablers without morals. Their GOD is $$$$$.

(14,435 posts)It a sick twisted way I think many of the more strict religious supporters actually don't care if he actually IS the antichrist as that would prove the Bible true and all those nasty atheist God hating liberals would have to deal with the end times, and they wouldn't be spared and rise to heaven like these faithful would do in the end.
And of course many, probably the majority, are Christians in name only. Because it makes them fit into the package of the white patriotic God fearing family centric society. Most do not attend church. Read the Bible. Or for that matter even follow Christs teachings like turn the other cheek, be good to those that hate you, blessed are the poor, etc..

(59,792 posts)were more Cohen tapes and Dershowitz claimed he couldn't possibly know that and kept interrupting him.
Avenatti told him to stop interrupting him and assured the audience there were more tapes.
Of course he turned out to be right.
But for some reason there are poster here who keep posting negative threads on Avenatti.

(55,657 posts)hard time getting the media, even sympathetic media, to give us ANY time much less equal time. And here is a guy out there every day saying what we want said, publicizing information we want to know, basically riding the media like a charioteer.
And people are all snarky about him!
No one is better than we are at shooting themselves in the foot.

(959 posts)I really don't care what Avenatti's agenda is. He is excellent at what he does, and is an asset to the cause. And he's easy on the eyes

(29,171 posts)In this particular case, he's working on forwarding my interests, e.g., uncovering the rocks and watching the maggots squirm around. If he's got a different agenda and we're on the same path for now, fine with me. (For the record, I find him okay looking, not sure what the huge fuss is all about there...)

(10,171 posts)"Mr Doesn't use Protection" had one of his many trysts end in an unwanted pregnancy and an abortion. Math or Law of Averages convince me of this. But, he could "perform an abortion with a coat hangar on a woman in the middle of Fifth Avenue" and his base would still love him. Yes, even those rabid Right-to-Lifers.

(6,831 posts)says that sooner or later, one of his conquests, whether by chance of by intention (Now think about that for a moment . . . a woman has a trump baby . . . DNA proves it's his . . . she's set for life.), there's going to be a pregnancy.
But I do believe that if he forced an abortion, he would lose his so-called christian evangelical base. An abortion - whether it happened before or after an election - is still an abortion.

(6,049 posts)It was revealed in court that Cohen only had 3 clients, and he worked pretty much exclusively for Trump. Besides Trump, the other was Hannity and one client that seemed extremely out of place. That client involved a payoff for an abortion, and the paperwork in that case used the same pseudonyms as were used on the Stormy Daniels case. None of it passed the smell test for me.
Haggis for Breakfast
(6,831 posts)I'm going to believe him. Everything he has said has been solid, with proof or evidence, standing firmly behind him. I don't think that at this point, with so much in the line, he would say something he could not back up with fact.
This is about to get really interesting.

(30,329 posts)Even if an old sport-fucker like trump is doubling up on the number of his supposed sexual conquests, there are bound to be "accidents" which were taken care of. Looking forward to how the pro-birth segment of his base deals with this.

(37,308 posts)I read in "Fire and Fury", the book by Michael Wolff, that Steve Bannon said they paid off at least 100 women in the last few weeks before the election. Let that sink in - over 100 women.
They didn't print Stormy Daniels' name in the book because she hadn't take out the lawsuit yet, but I'm sure she's one of them. Some of the women were ones he kissed or fondled without permission, not all of them were affairs. Besides the ones they paid off, there are another 10 or 12 who refused to sign the NDA so they didn't get any money. Most of those women have sued him (or tried to) since the election.
